Monday’s am I right? There is a lot to think about when it’s a new week, new day, and new beginning. Our thoughts are like waves on the shore. They move in and out from the shore each night and each new morning. They can feel positive and negative but still crash down, with no direction at all. Is there reason to this high and low? Is there some force in our brains making you or I feel happy or sad on this new day? Or any day? I think about these exact thoughts from time to time. I’m happy this morning, I’m sad this morning. Why? What changed? Are you the same? What are you’re thoughts when you first awake on a new Monday?
Overthinking, those special little chemicals in our head to make us feel happy or sad! Boy aren’t they something! I always question, is it the diet, the exercise, my own thoughts, are they the culprit? Why do we feel like this? Is it just life? Maybe it’s the upbringing, or it’s nature, or the seasons are changing? Maybe it’s having that low self esteem, that extra anxiety? Maybe writing will help? There’s a lot to unpack here, and it’s a lot of overthinking already, especially for a new day, a new beginning! If these thoughts can have this type of power over me what else? We’ll see…it’s Monday.
